The Scalextric/Superslot McLaren 720S "Memphis Red" (Model H3911 / C3911) is an analog slotcar on a 1:32 scale produced in 2019. Under the brand name Superslot, the exact same car is sold on the Spanish market, while in the rest of the world it is known as Scalextric.
The model is designed as a "Super-Resistant" car, which means the bodywork is extremely crash resistant and has no fragile, loose details. This makes the car ideal for novice racers.
Key Specifications and Features
Scale: 1:32
Color: Memphis Red (vibrant metallic red)
System: Standard analogue, rear-wheel drive with inline engine mount
DPR (Digital Plug Ready): Equipped with a hatch at the bottom. The car can be quickly digitally made with the Scalextric C8515 Digital Plug or a Carson chip for Carrera D132 lanes.
Magnatraction: Equipped with a strong magnet at the bottom for extra handling and grip in the corners.
Easy Change Pickups: Quickly replaceable drag contacts (braids) for easy maintenance.
Lighting: This particular super-resistant model has no working headlights or taillights.
Compatibility
The slotcar is right out of the box ready to ride on all traditional 1:32 analog racetracks, including tracks from Scalextric, Carrera (Evolution), Ninco and SCX. In addition, it works seamlessly with modern analog systems such as Scalextric ARC AIR and the Spark Plug app control
Main specifications and features
This model is known within the slotcar community for its excellent performance on the track and the detailed finish. Drive: Equipped with a standard Scalextric motor in a sidewinder configuration with an 11/36 gear ratio.
Digital Plug Ready (DPR): The car can be converted in less than sixty seconds for digital racing lanes using the Scalextric C8515 Digital Plug.
Lighting: The magnet can possibly be moved forward for a lighter road behavior.
Dimensions and weight: The vehicle has a length of 140 mm, a wheelbase of 83 mm and weighs approximately 86 grams.
Parts and modifications
For the fanatical racer, this specific chassis is popular because the bodywork is relatively light, which ensures a quick acceleration. If you want to improve the grip on the analogue or digital track, experienced hobbyists often recommend aftermarket tires from brands such as Ortmann (type 37U) or Maxxtrac (M2).
